ABOUT

One of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself is self awareness through therapy or coaching.  This involves a great deal of self care and acceptance as you learn to honor and appreciate your strengths and identify and accept the things you need to work on (and strategies and coping skills to help you do that) in order to feel more satisified with your life.  Dr. Ciardiello will help you learn about yourself and honor yourself as the unique and valuable person that you are and help you to create more peace in your life as you work towards your goals.

Dr. Ciardiello received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Maryland, her Masters Degree in Social Work from Columbia University and her Ph.D. from Yeshiva University, Wurzweiler School of Social Work.  She has written a book on group work with children and a book on group work with adolescents.  She facilitates workshops and presentations at the national and international level.  Her practice includes working with children and adolescents (grades 4 and up), college students, and adults via ADHD coaching or individual, couples, and/or or family therapy to address difficulty with parenting, grief and loss, job/work/school stress, social skills, interpersonal relationship difficulties, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, OCD, and family building loss. Dr. Ciardiello's approach to psychotherapy is eclectic, drawing from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and psychoeducational models. She has been in practice for over twenty five years.

Dr. Ciardiello has been on the Board of Directors and is a member of the International Association for Social Work with Groups (IASWG), and has been an active member of CHADD and NASW for over twenty years.
